"Communion"

commissioned on the occassion of two churches joining their congregations in sharing the sasme building. Made from a laminated block of the oaken pew ends of both member churches.

I've always liked working with salvaged material. This is one of Vancouver's original foundaries, fallen over into the mud...and what it got made into

I've always loved walking on log-strewn beaches. My first large piece, "for Joan" came from the shore of Bennett Bay on Mayne Isand, B.C. It now resides in the Vancouver General Hospital.
